David Oates has had a long and successful career in motorsport with his specialist car sales company Autorite Sport. Originally from Alton and more recently Somerset, he has now returned to Hampshire.
Growing up in the family business Chawton End Garage in the village of Four Marks; with childhood memories of driving cars around the garage from the age of 12, it was a natural progression for David to go into the motor trade.
Who would ever have expected such a boom in and huge following of classic cars, some of which many of us grew up around and also owned?
Atburys.com was formed in 2017, specialising in Garage and Motorsport memorabilia, along with highly collectable enamel signs and bespoke upcycled motor parts furniture. With over 30 years in motor sport, David still has a large following and a passion to be around this exciting, adrenaline rush sport; especially as his son Jamie is now also involved.
They are always interested in purchasing 1970/1980’s barn find cars along with enamel signs and other memorabilia.
