A Word from the Editor
Welcome to our Newsletter which I hope finds you all well and happy!
Hungerford and Wallingford Arcades have had a very busy month, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their support.
It has been wonderful to see our overseas customers from across the world coming in and buying lots of things to take home with them or in some cases, shipping them back. It is lovely to talk with them and find out a little about what they do.
Our local and nationwide customers, holidaymakers, parents and grandparents with their grandchildren and not forgetting the variety of beautiful dogs they bring with them all make for a wonderful day.
We have again had new stallholders join us with a wonderful selection of stock. Some are amazing and will surprise you so look out for them below.

Chris Dibspall – Walingford Arcade
Chris’ stock is unique in that he makes beautiful things using reclaimed copper in the most imaginative way. Every piece is a one-off and the workmanship is superb. Here are some of the things he makes.
When Chris has made his items, he then coats them in a special lacquer which means they will never need polishing – just the flick of a dusty and they will always look a good as the day you took them home.
Henry’s Tearoom at Hungerford Arcade
Henry’s Tea Room is a fantastic place to relax and bring the family. Why not try Henry’s Garden where you can sit in the sun and relax over breakfast, lunch, dinner or tea
Everything is freshly made every day using the very best ingredients.

Sarah and her husband Dan are model steam engine specialists and know everything there is to know about them. She has the most wonderful collection in her units and are a real treat for the collector and for the up and coming enthusiast.
Here is just a small selection of what Sarah and Dan have to offer. Do come and see these amazing engines. You will be glad you did.
Antiques Road Trip
at
Wallingford Arcade
We had a fabulous day when STV came to Wallingford Arcade to film a new episode of Antiques Road Trip for the BBC.
The star was Danny Sebastian who was fantastic and very funny. He had us and our customers laughing all day.
They thought that they would get the filming done in two hours, but they loved the centre so much, they stayed for five hours. As Euan the director said, “It speaks for itself. It is a wonderful place and we thoroughly enjoyed filming here today”.

Love is all around us!
We are sometimes privileged at Hungerford and Wallingford Arcade to be part of the memorable moments in the lives of our customers.
One such occurred recently at Hungerford Arcade when Paula Dabovich and David Crone from Adelaide, Australia came to explore the Arcade as part of their trip. They spent some time looking at rings from several cabinets and narrowed it down to two. We were all asked our opinion as to which suited Paula more. She finally chose this stunning ring which looked wonderful on her. (Read more in our blog by clicking on the link below).

Classic Car Show
Sunday, 15th September
10.00am to 3.00pm
Hungerford Arcade is delighted to welcome back the West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Club. The members bring their fabulous vehicles to the Arcade for your pleasure. These wonderful people like nothing more than chatting about their vehicles or even yours, if you are lucky enough to own one. Do come along and have a wonderful family day out. You can even sit and relax in the Henry’s Tearoom garden at the rear of the Arcade
