Joe first starting collecting old watches in his early 20s. He is an engineer by trade, who worked mainly in the motor industry. He drifted into learning about watches and watch repairs as part of his hobby and eventually decided to go full time when he found he was spending more time on watches than his job!
He started trading watches at various fairs around the South of England and eventually took space in an antiques centre in Bath in 1996.
During lockdown he and his eldest son, Tom, started his website, watches-of-bath.com, to trade online. Tom has since become a full partner in the business and runs their second shop situated at the Cliffe Antiques Centre in Lewes, East Sussex.
His interest is in vintage watches, the older the better. They have a wide selection in stock of many different makes.
Joe joined Hungerford Arcade in March 2022 and trades from unit 134, by the front desk.
